A. Zicam Cold Remedy is available in three nasal delivery forms:

NASAL Gel™
For best results. use at the first sign of a cold and continue to use for an additional 48 hours after symptoms subside. When using the nasal pump. place the tip of the nasal pump just past the nasal opening (approximately 1/8” of an inch). Slightly angle pump nozzle outward. Pump once into each nostril. To avoid possible irritation. do not sniff up gel. After application. press lightly on the outside of each nostril for about five seconds. Wait at least 30 seconds before blowing nose. Gel SWABS™ (Foil Pouch design)
For best results. use at the first sign of a cold and continue to use for an additional 48 hours after symptoms subside. When using the swabs. separate one swab from another. Before opening. turn swab upside down so medication saturates swab head. Return right side up and squeeze at blue dot to move medication away from dotted tear line. To open. fold so arrow heads meet. and then tear across dotted line. Slide plastic sleeve halfway down swab handle to expose swab tip. Apply the medication just inside of each nostril. During application. press lightly on the outside of each nostril for about five seconds. Do not insert swab more than ¼” past nasal opening. Discard the swab after use. Wait at least 30 seconds before blowing nose. Reapply every four hours until symptoms subside. For additional product instructions. see package labeling.

Gel SWABS™ (Snap-to-open design)
For best results. use at the first sign of a cold and continue to use for an additional 48 hours after symptoms subside. When using the swabs. pull out one of the individual tubes provided in the twenty-swab package. Hold tube between thumb and forefinger at red band. With the other hand. hold at the base of the handle and snap open tube. Pull out the swab. Apply the medication just inside first nostril. Press lightly on the outside of first nostril for about 5 seconds. Re-dip swab in tube. Apply medication to second nostril. Press lightly on outside of second nostril for about 5 seconds. Do not insert swab more than ¼” past nasal opening. Discard swab after use. Wait at least 30 seconds before blowing nose. Reapply every four hours until symptoms subside.
