Zicam® Cold Remedy was formulated to shorten the duration of the common cold and was not formulated to be effective for flu or allergies.

Warnings

Ask a doctor before use if you have a sensitivity to zinc or are allergic to zinc

Stop use and ask a doctor if symptoms persist or are accompanied by a fever or new symptoms occur

If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.

Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

Directions
  • for best results, use at the first sign of a cold and continue to use until symptoms completely subside
  • adults and children 12 years of age and older:
    • take one medicated fruit drop at onset of symptoms
    • chew slowly and dissolve completely before swallowing
    • repeat every 2 - 3 hours, not to exceed 5 medicated drops in 24 hours. Take until symptoms are gone.
    • to avoid minor stomach upset, do not take on an empty stomach
    • do not eat or drink for 15 minutes after use. Do not eat or drink citrus fruits or juices for 30 minutes before or after use. Otherwise, drink plenty of fluids.
  • children under 12 years of age: ask a doctor before use

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shortens Cold Length! I received the Zicam Medicated Fruit Drops with Elderberry a few weeks ago. They are a homeopathic remedy to shorten the duration of a cold. I decided to take as directed when I first felt the signs of my cold coming on. I used them for a couple of days while dealing with my cold symptoms but I can say that I felt they did make the length of my cold shorter than previous colds I’ve experienced this “cold season.” The taste isn’t bad. They don’t remind you of swallowing typical cold remedy syrups. I’d recommend to a friend. I like Zicam products so I was curious to see how this one would work! It did not disappoint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from really works and tastes great I really expected the Zicam Medicated Fruit Drops plus Elderberry to taste terrible. I am happy to say that they have a pleasant flavor and wonderful texture. There is a cooling sensation from menthol but is is quite subtle and very soothing. It is somewhat difficult to be absolutely sure that this product really did shorten the duration of my cold. I think that it probably did because I seemed to recover a couple of days sooner than I did with my previous cold. I will certainly be taking this product again at the first sign of a cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I'm loving the Zicam Cold Remedy Fruit Drops with Elderberry. I was afraid the taste would be horrible, but it was actually pleasant. The fruit drops are very soft and easy to chew. I am always looking for a homeopathic way of treating my illnesses and Zicam has always worked for me. I'm happy to see the fruit drops. It will be a staple in my medicine cabinet. They work! These will definitely shorten your cold. If you take it as soon as you feel a symptom, you may not even get that cold. I would recommend this product to everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Taking this product when you feel a cold coming, will help greatly reduce your cold. The gummy drops are a great alternative to the usual cold medication, which can be less than pleasant to your taste buds. The mixed berry plus elder berry flavors taste nice, although you can still taste the medication coming through, the berry flavors do a good job at helping mask the medicine taste. The best part, you're treating your cold with something so tasty. Highly recommended if you want an alternative way of helping treat an oncoming cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't hurt to try Husband started these the second he had signs of a cold. It's always hard to tell for sure if there is something that works with a cold or if you just get over the cold. The head cold lasted about two weeks and he's just getting over it now. The cold never went down into the chest and he didn't get the coughing spells that he normally get's with a cold. As a diabetic he was concerned that it didn't have the carb points listed on the bottle which he watches very closely when he's sick since illness tends to make his blood sugar go up. Overall taste was fine and it didn't have any negative side to it at all. Personally I think the placebo effect helped him without any side effects.

I personally like gummie vitamins much more than there counterparts so I was very excited to Zicams medicated fruit drops. Warning they do taste like medicine but still palatable. I am unsure if there effectiveness on one hand I think they work to an extant on the other I started to take them when I felt like I might be getting sick and still got sick. I’m on fence but it has only been one whole day of truely not feeling well. I think I will continue and say why not try them they may help

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great potential Got these because they contain elderberry since I am into natural products. I didn’t notice that they contain artificial colors until later. Seems like a waste to put foodcoloring when elderberry is dark purple. They also contain menthol which gives a slightly off taste when mixed with elderberry. Did use when I had a cold and it seemed to lessen the duration of the cold, but I probably wouldn’t buy again due to food coloring and off taste.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great flavor A friend of mine talked me into trying this product since she always uses it. I liked the flavor alot lol. When I first starting getting sick I used the product an went by the iinstructions, but I really didnt notice anything different except it didnt seem to last as long and not as bad of a cold as usual but who is to say why. I think its an ok product and would recommend others to try for themselves. I will try this product again because I do think it did help me though.
